On Saturday saw ITV Orihuela RFC take on last years runners up, UCAM, at home and hoping to improve on the previous game and with a little bit more good fortune get something out of the game.
Orihuela started off the way they meant to go on, attacking the UCAM line from the off and eventually the pressure told and the first points came through an infringement at the ruck and 3 points to Alvaro.
UCAM hit back, but the home defence stood firm until giving a silly penalty away in front of the posts, but before half time UCAM pulled away with the only try of the first half through some poor tackling and another 2 penalties through indiscipline.
Orihuela pulled 3 points back with another penalty and on the stroke of half time Alvaro missed the easiest of the chances, going in at half time14-6 down.
