At the weekend ITV Orihuela RFC travelled to Albacete in the league hoping to get revenge after their home defeat earlier on in the season, but it just was not to be. After getting a famous double over their counterparts last season their hopes were high.
Right from the start it started off badly with more holes in Orihuela’s defence than a sieve, which normally is rock solid and their platform for counter attacking. Within the first few minutes Albacete opened up the defence easily with a three on one, and then again the same way shortly afterwards going into a 12-0 lead.
The defence was just non-existant, but they hit back with a try of their own with the ball working through the forwards who were winning their own battle up front and in the lineout. With a catch and drive from the lineout Orihuela RFC powered their way to the line with Primi driving over the line for a well worked try, for Orihuela RFC’s first try of the game.
